AN Unkindness of Ravens

This Series of pieces are a commentary on human kind’s relationship with our environment.  You can try to dominate or "bottle up" nature, but in the end nature will always win.  I saw the raven/crow trapped in a mason jar with a knife poking or cutting its way out as an analogy to this concept.  The first images or series started in 2017 were inspired by Canuck the Raven.  This series of pieces are multimedia in construction. I used a mass produced rubber stamp to create the Mason jar. The Ravens themselves are done with Sumi inks, gel pens, graphite, and Watercolor in some instances.  They are all are done on paper that is 5 X 7 inches in size.
